Vera
Yoga Teacher
What was your journey to becoming a yoga teacher?
I started my journey with Ashtanga Primary Series. After a few years of practising it, I decided to develop my self-practice. My practise transformed with time and I realised I get carried away by inventing my own flows and exploring the movement outside of Ashtanga. That’s when I decided it is time to train as a yoga teacher. I have been teaching since 2020 and I love bringing yoga into people’s lives.
What does your downtime look like?
My favourite thing to unwind is cooking. If I could spend my whole day cooking I really would.
If you weren’t a yoga teacher, what would you be?
I would continue to be what I still am outside of being a yoga teacher - a classical orchestral musician.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Imperfection is what makes things more interesting. Striving for perfection is useless.
