Manoj

Yoga Teacher

What was your journey to becoming a yoga teacher?

After spending many years supporting children and working in a field helping others make choices for their health and wellbeing, I decided to bring these experiences together and dedicate my life in service to others. My parents have been a huge influence on me, who have been practising traditional yoga for many years, and I was inspired by them to teach yoga in a way that honours my Indian ancestry and heritage. Yoga has given me so much happiness and stability, and it’s my mission to help others feel the same.

What does your downtime look like?

Going to concerts, attending poetry events, meeting people in the community, visiting new restaurants, reading, and watching sports! And do love to hike too!

If you weren’t a yoga teacher, what would you be?

A tennis player or stand up comedian!

How does practicing yoga help your day to day life?

Yoga gives me purpose, guidance and spreads into all areas of my life. Going beyond asana and using yogic scriptures, mantra and meditation has helped me to help go on a journey of inner healing. It continues to be an anchor of support in difficult times, and helps me everyday to be the best version I can be for myself and others.

A fun fact about you?

I have been in a tv commercial, danced in a wrestling ring and love Football!
